A physician’s perspective, with time to understand context.

I’m Matt Bond, a board-certified psychiatrist. My work is focused on helping adults make sense of symptoms that may not fit neatly into a single diagnosis.

I consider psychiatric symptoms alongside medication history, substance use, medical factors, current stressors, and the goals you bring to treatment. The aim is to develop a clear working understanding, then make treatment decisions that are practical and clinically grounded.

I have experience treating both common and complex psychiatric conditions. Care is provided virtually to adults across Arizona through Bond Psychiatric Services, my independent practice.

A diagnosis can be useful. It is not the whole story.

Good psychiatric care starts by understanding how symptoms, health, medication, substance use, relationships, work, and daily life connect. That context guides what to address first and how to evaluate whether treatment is helping.

Focused psychiatric care, from the first evaluation forward.

Appointments are held virtually for adults located in Arizona.

Psychiatric Evaluation

A detailed review of current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, prior treatment, medications, substance use, and the circumstances affecting your health now.

Medication Management

Ongoing visits to assess how treatment is working, address side effects or concerns, and make careful adjustments when needed.

Psychotherapy

Talk therapy may be incorporated into psychiatric care when it is useful, or coordinated with the work you are doing with another therapist.

Concerns commonly addressed in treatment.

The fit and scope of care are considered individually during the initial evaluation.

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder
  • ADHD
  • Trauma-related conditions
  • Substance use disorders
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Other psychiatric concerns

A clear process, without unnecessary steps.

  1. Initial Evaluation

We will review what brought you to care, your history, current symptoms, previous treatment, medications, medical factors, and what you hope to change. The first visit is also a chance to determine whether the practice is an appropriate fit.

  2. Follow-Up Care

Follow-up visits focus on changes since the prior appointment, questions or concerns, medication response, and the next treatment priorities. Visit frequency depends on clinical needs.
